If you’ve been injured in circumstances that are not covered by the TAC (motor vehicle accidents), WorkSafe (workplace injuries) or medical law (medical negligence), then you should seek legal advice about whether or not you have any entitlement to compensation via a public liability claim.
Your to-do list as is follows:
Consult your doctor and let them know how and when you were injured.
Take photographs of where you were injured and of your injuries.
Record the names and contact details of any witnesses to the incident. Ask them to write down their recollection of the event or situation that caused you to be injured while it is fresh in their memory.
Keep records and receipts of any medical treatment expenses incurred and loss of wages or income.
Arrange a free, no-obligation consultation with a Grainger Legal lawyer to receive specific advice on your rights and entitlements.
